Product Details
Vaski soi is a slightly asymmetric triangular shawl. It is worked in the shape of an arrow from one corner to the long edge on the opposite side. The four colors of the shawl are meant to have a good contrast, but the shawl will also look great with colors close to each other fading from one shade to another. The Finnish phrase vaski soi means that a brass instrument is being played.
Yarn: Fingering weight, for example Lanitium ex Machina Polwarth Silk (398 m/435 yd per 100 g).
Yardage: Color A: 362 m/395 yd or 91 g (gray in the model shawl). Color B: 375 m/410 yd or 95 g (pink in the model shawl). Color C: 275 m/300 yd or 70 g (off-white in the model shawl). Color D: 366 m/400 yd or 92 g (blue in the model shawl).
Gauge: 19 sts and 45 rows per 10 cm (4 in) in garter stitch unblocked, but gauge is not crucial.
