Product Details
This is a really fun, portable project. Knit the inside of the square first in a bright, cheerful color, then pick up and knit stitches around the edges, just as you would knit a log cabin square, to “frame” it. Stitch the squares together and it's ready for baby! The cheerful colorway pictured above is perfect for both boys and girls, but the blanket would look stunning in tonal shades as well.
The yarn I originally used in this design is discontinued. I am suggesting Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo DK. It knits up to the same gauge as the original yarn, has similar colorways, and has lovely drape. Plus it's machine washable!
