What you'll need
Product Details
At first glance, the cables on these mittens look regular. Looking closer, you see how the cables shift niftily around the rows, changing colors and wandering from the thumb towards the back of the arm. The mittens are worked with horizontal cables, a technique I invented.
The pattern includes written instructions and an extensive technique section, with step-by-step photo tutorials for
back loop only slip stitch (B) - color changes
wandering horizontal cables
invisible seam for back loop only ribbing
yarn: 60 g of Zitron Lifestyle (100 % new wool, merino extrafine), 20 g in colorway 12 (gray), 97 (lilac) and 77 (purple) each.
Instructions for adapting the pattern to sock weight yarn are given.
hook: 4 mm (US size G)
other notions: darning needle for seaming
The pattern is available in English and in German (both patterns are in one file here on LoveKnitting).
