Product Details
This wee sheep was inspired by the Scottish Blackface sheep which can be found all over Britain but particularly in Scotland. They are easily identified by their black (or mostly black) faces and often spectacularly curly horns! Wee Blackface Sheep is knit flat and includes instructions for both sweaters and horns.
Recommended Gauge For Body - measured over stocking stitch using 5mm needles, 17 sts and 21 rows to 10 cm square. For Jumper (sweater) - measured over stocking stitch using 6mm needles, 15 sts and 22 rows to 10 cm square.
Wee Black face measures approximately 24 cm from his bottom to the top of his head, when seated. (Measurement does not including lower legs)
The sample shown is knitted using 120 m/ 100g of Jamieson's of Shetland Marl in Shetland Black (101) and 120 m/ 100g of Jamieson's of Shetland Marl in Natural White (104). At Loveknitting suitable alternatives would include Berocco Vintage Chunky or for a cheaper price-point Stylecraft Life Chunky.
