Product Details

I’ve made Wesley the whale using a super chunky #6 weight plush yarn. This is ideal for a big soft and huggable toy and is a quick make, you can make your whale in a few hours. Wesley can be made with or without the white underside piece, you can decide. He is 12.5 inches long in super chunky weight yarn - 19.5" in jumbo - (when made with recommended materials).

The pattern uses UK terminology (US terminology is also available as a separate listing) and can be downloaded after purchase. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for invisible finish, magic ring alternative and tips for sewing using jumbo chenille yarn. I have made Wesley using Premier Parfait Chunky (super chunky weight yarn) - details in pattern.

The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern: slip stitch, double crochet, half treble, treble, increase, decrease (dc2tog), invisible finish
