Product Details
I was inspired by the loose, flowy, lace tops from the 70s with this one, but as I worked on the pattern, the loose and flowy idea turned into something more structured and shaped. Knit in one piece from the bottom up, feminine lace, slipped stitch details and a crochet edge add flattering lines to a simple top. The top half is fitted and the bottom half is meant to skim more loosely over your curves. The lines are meant to accentuate your shape, and as always, this is easy to modify for different body types. Instructions are in there to play with bust mods, move the floral band around, and alter the "skirt" section. The sample is shown in Blue Sky Alpacas Skinny Cotton in Birch. For substitutions I suggest something very similar, not too heavy or drapey, remember cotton can grow, so always check your gauge! A couple of alternatives are highlighted.
