Product Details

Window on the Lake cowl takes as inspiration the wonderful Blackwell Arts & Crafts house, overlooking Lake Windermere in the English Lake District. The strong lines represent stone mullions, the white is the shimmering water, and the variegated pops of colour ‘through the windows’ are the stained glass so often found in works of this period.

With its double thickness and gently flaring base, you also will be able to wander lonely as a cloud and spy hosts of golden daffodils, without feeling the chill.

The cowl is knitted bottom up and in the round. After an initial six rows, the charted pattern is worked and the cowl is finished with a picot edging and inner flap which gives stability to the piece.

You will need DK weight yarn in three colours, one of which should be highly variegated for best effect.
