Product Details
As the days shorten and the breeze feels chillier, we enter the times of Winterfinding; the start of Winter. For many folk, it is a time of sadness and regret but not for the knitter. Winterfinding marks the beginning of high knitting season. A season of rugging up in warm sweaters, pulling on snuggly socks and beanies and wrapping ourselves in shawls.
This shawl is a celebration of this season, with a variety of techniques and stitch patterns to engage and enjoy whilst whiling away those winter eves. Lace, stripes and brioche collide in this de-constructed triangle-shaped shawl to create a generous giant winter-warming hug.
Construction:
Winterfinding is a triangle-shaped shawl which has been slightly de-constructed. It begins with a Magic Garter Tab with the first section knit as per a traditional triangle-shaped shawl. The striped section is created by working only one side of the shawl. Stitches are then picked up along these rows just worked and the structure returns to a triangle.
