For quite some time I was thinking about a triangular shawl that featured stripes of color emerging from one corner, spreading out all over the shawl. Also, I wanted a shawl that had one jagged edge. These two design elements were not possible with a traditionally constructed shawl. After some time, I realized both elements were only possible if I worked the shawl sideways using short rows. So here it is, a triangular shawl knit in garter stitch using two colors. The contrast color separates different segments which are shaped using short rows. If you like, you could use more than one main color, alternating them in each segment, or even using a different color for each segment. A crochet cast-on is used to match the bind-off edge.
