Product Details
The Yeti Feet Silly Scarf is a fun winter scarf that uses eyelash or textured yarns for the legs and includes Glow-in-the Dark Toenails.
The pattern idea began with using up my Ice Yarn: Gardenia yarn. It looks like Yeti legs! Since finding this yarn may be challenging, I also did Yeti Feet scarves using Bernat Pipsqueak and Red Heart Scrubby Cotton. Several other “Leg” yarn suggestions are listed on the pattern.
Next, are the Yeti “Feet.” Using Bernat Premier Sparkle-Blue Mist (or any medium-weight blue yarn) AND Bead Weaving Thread (that adds a light stiffness), the feet take shape with Row-by-Row directions. Shaping requires cast-on’s, bind-offs, and a couple short rows. Links to helpful directions are included in the PDF pattern. Finally, Toenails complete the pattern. DMC E940 Glow in the Dark embroidery thread was perfect to add that extra fun aspect.
With a provisional cast-on, the Yeti Feet is knit as one piece.
Enjoy!
