This square blankie is worked unconventionally from the center out. You'll love seeing it grow so quickly, and this method allows you to make it smaller or larger with no adjustments to the stitch pattern--just keep working until you're ready to bind off. The chevron texture looks identical on both sides & is created simply with knits and purls zig-zagging around & around.
Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rows per 4 inches in Zag Zincrease Pattern
Yarn: 800 yards worsted weight yarn
The yellow sample was knit in Rowan All Seasons Cotton. The mint sample was knit in Big Bad Wool Weepaca. A suggested yarn is shown below.
