#WhyIKnit - I knit, because I often suffer from anxiety and self-doubt, and I find that knitting is a form of contemplation. I become totally absorbed in my work, and all the worries and issues of the day melt away. I can become totally content in whatever situation, carrying my knitting with me to hotels, conferences, pubs, parks, and to my bed. In my knitting, I can share my love of a person by creating something for them with my own hands, and by finishing the project, overcome any doubts I have about accomplishing my goals. Knitting is really a way of loving other people, and loving myself.
This project is for my future husband, Kyle, who loves autumn, orange, and walking through wheat fields. This project is really the best present for this time of year!
