Having seen Lynne T’s brilliant bikers, Pat’s Gnelfy was the perfect choice for the giant. It was fun creating his punk look to match the Usborne illustration. The figures were a combination of Dollytime, Knitted Fairy Tales and Gypsycream patterns, adapted to match illustrations. The cow, hen, harp and beanstalk were from Sarah Keen’s Knitted Fairy Tales. Sewing up is my least favourite part of knitting, so all those fiddly little pieces seemed to take forever. I’m hoping the teachers don’t put Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on the story sack list! The photo was taken at school with my youngest grandson for the end of term newsletter. Unfortunately my other grandson at the school was in isolation on that day, with the rest of his bubble.
