Thank you Christine, I was a bit worried about making him as you and I both know how hard it is to get the face right on a cat.😊 I am having fun making the wee outfits to go with these toys.Oh I brought blue markers the other day to try and make a wee rabbit like you advised me ,but the wool I brought Christine was too thin and I can't use it. Do you use a dk or aaran wool for your bunnies.😊

@Michelle M: The Dot Pebbles patterns are usually 2 strands of 4ply worked together but the baby bunny I made is King Cole Embrace it is classed as a DK but it' is quite thick so I would say you could use either DK or aran but if the yarn you purchased is too thin you could always use two or three stands worked together you may need to go up or down one size of needle and your bunny might end up a bit smaller or a bit bigger which would be okay.

@Christine R: thank you Christine for your advice, I didn't realise the patterns were knitted with 2 strands of 4 ply.I probably should have kept the wool but I took one look at it and thought Oh no there's no way I can knit with that.lol😊😊❀

@Michelle M: Never mind Michelle but it really doesn't stop you making her patterns, she uses two strands of 4ply to mix two different colours together which gives her animals that unique look but as with my baby bunnies you can just use a DK or aran in a self colour or one that has a tweed look or self striping effect, anything goes in our wonderful toy making world.

I don't mind small sidetracks. I still have to finish a shawl I started last winter. Oh, and I bought the latest Rowan magazine and wool online, to knit the cover picture short-sleeved top. We have moved to level 3 for 2 weeks, so this way I just take my knitting to the beach while the kids are playing. I don't have waxed cotton, but I can melt some beeswax I have and dip in my DK cotton?

Oh you must love being able to go to the beach, I am in Melbourne and we have the strictest restrictions here but fingers crossed they will start to relax them after the 12th March. We won't be going to the beach at the moment as we are Having rain. Hail and thunder.lol.😊😊

If you need help we can all help you.😊😊What do you think I should call him as I will write his wee name on the card for her.😊😊

Yes I’m knitting the Cornish Mice, it’s the nearest I’ll get to Cornwall this year probably. We were booked to go at the end of May but that was cancelled. The trouble is there’s 2 mice so that’s a lot of arms and legs and boots and I also want to do another mouse in different colours so it’ll be a while before I’m finished which is ok anyway. I’m enjoying doing them as they are nice and small. πŸ˜„

@Vix: It takes about 13 hours to drive from Glasgow to Cornwall but we do break the journey by staying overnight in Cheltenham on the way down. We used to drive back home all in one go taking lots of stops on the way but not these days, it’s too exhausting for my husband as I don’t drive much apart from locally. You can get a train but it takes forever with lots of changes. That’s a shame you can’t get to Greece, hopefully you will once this is over!

We occasionally allow the old chap to come with us (but not often). I just hate car journeys I am not a good passenger as I expect to crash any minute ( think it stems from my A&E days when I used to go with ambulance to rtas) so of course I have to knit it crochet on the journey. @Vix: I have just seen pictures of the islands Vix but they look absolutely stunning you are so lucky.😊I can understand why you don't like going in the car Vix only special people could attend RTA's and it would take it's toll on you. 😊I was reading about your Mum being a land girl how cool is that, the stories she could tell. My Mum was a shearers wife travelling around NZ and the stories she told me were amazing, the hardships they went through.😊😊

@Jennifer M: I am not sure I will live another 20 years to work thru my stash. Mmmm funnily enough I don't always have the required yarn so have to order more. It's a very strange phenomenon πŸ˜‰

@Michelle M: My Mum loved her life there. Me and my sister were talking about my grandmothers awful cooking apparently all the other land girls thought the food awful. Mum thought it was delicious 🀣. Shearers wife, what times they must have lived through.

@Vix: Its funny Vix my Mum and I went in a bus ride about 4 years ago through the South Island of NZ and the things she was telling me about life as a shearers wife,I honestly thought oh she could write a book. My mother was an incredible cook and baker and she used to laugh when I couldn't bake something simple like scones.😊Your mum would of had some amazing stories to tell too Vix, did she talk about it to you..😊😊

@Michelle M: I always remind the old chap that I don't drink, want jewelry, clothes, shoes or handbags all I want is a ball of yarn and I am happy so I tell him how very lucky he is.

I just love your cat will definitely cheer her up as she is so cute. I have just finished my Gnorse need to put buttons on his waistcoat then all done and can put him on the site. Just be careful if ordering online from overseas using credit card as I have just been hacked on Anzac Day and I have not bought anything for months due to the lockdown and the increased shipping costs.

Oh thank you for telling me about ordering overseas Val, I always use pay pal but I don't know how safe that is. 😏I don't think it's worth ordering any wool at the moment as the other ladies are saying how long it is taking to arrive. I am glad you like my wee cat I am really having fun with my knitting at the moment making lots of different toys.😊oh I can't wait to see your gnorse, those patterns are so much fun and you can add all your own wee bits and pieces.😊😊❀

Your wee boy pussy cat looks very mischievous, just gorgeous Michelle. It's Sara and Anaya's 10th birthday today. So we will do a drive past and drop off their presents. Spoke to them this morning. I am still waiting on my lovecrafts order, could be any where.
      Hope your headaches are better.

Thank you Jennifer I loved making his wee outfit and putting the wee whiskers on.yes I am feeling better this week, but my rehab Dr and wants me to have more MRI scans but I am going to wait till after I have the injection see how that goes.😊Oh you will have to blow them big kisses Jennifer which will be hard as you will want to give them a cuddle as well. 😏Hopefully we are going to be easing things off a wee bit soon, but so many people I know are just popping round to their families etc but you have to worry about Greg, and the wee twins. I was going to place an order for wool from the UK but I don't think it's worth it at the moment with the slow deliveries. It's a beautiful day here today and then we are expecting rain and hail from tomorrow.😨
