LoveCrochet’s Christmas makes
Published on December 3, 2018 By Meg 2 min readIf there’s one thing the LoveCrafts team LOVES, it’s cake. We really, really love it. But there’s something we love even more than that (I know, we didn’t think it was possible either), and it starts the minute we get that first scent of cinnamon on the breeze, and that is...Christmas crochet! Everything about it is magical. Dreaming up our gift list, plotting out our projects, obsessing over sock techniques, selecting luxurious yarns for that special someone, and getting cozy on the sofa with nothing but Home Alone and a yarn pile the size of your tree to keep you company. Oh the sweet joy of Christmas crochet! What are the LoveCrafts team crocheting, you may ask? Here’s some of our favorite crochet Christmas patterns from our own Christmas collections to inspire you.
Jen is dreaming of an Amigurumi Christmas
For Jen, our email guru and crochet nut, crocheting Christmas projects for her home, her friends, and family have to include some kind of Amigurumi. The Japanese art lends itself perfectly to Christmas decorations as there couldn’t be anything sweeter than miniature, cartoonish trees, snowflakes, and reindeer. This year Jen will crochet the Christmas Hot Cocoa by Melissa Bradley. This decoration is perfect to display this Christmas, featuring an Amigurumi mug of cocoa with marshmallows, Christmas biscuits, and candy canes. Jen’s home is going to be the cutest on her street with this gorgeous project.
Merion's mitten madness
Copywriter Merion has a way with words, and is incidentally crazy for Christmas! Nothing says Christmas to her than some quality time with her family, hook and yarn in hand, and a Christmas movie on the telly. Merion always handmakes gifts for her nearest and dearest, and this Christmas is no exception. This year, Merion will be crocheting the Ramble Mittens by Anna Nikipirowicz in all of her favorite colors, for all of her friends.
Irene's colorful Christmas
Irene one of our fabulous Smiles agents, loves Christmas colors. Decorating her home, and herself in everything red, green, and white really brings Christmas home for Irene. Spreading the Christmas spirit is something this maker aims for every year and this winter, she’ll be crocheting the Pop! Socks by redclovercrochet. These vibrant Christmas red socks will not only keep Irene’s feet toasty, they’ll also bring the Christmas cheer!
