I bet Aahana would have grown so much when you get to see her,she will be getting excited ow knowing you and Greg are on your way home and it's nearly Christmas too.
I have stopped knitting baby things for Nicole as I don't think she really likes them and her mother in law works in Kmart so you can imagine all the things they have already.
That is ashame I am sure your things would be far nicer than Kmarts. Wait and see what she has and then you can knit some appropriate colours and patterns.
Hi Jennifer thanks for the update on Darwin. Our friends are heading up the center through Alice Springs and will probably be there in about a weeks time.
Ohh my golly Christine, I got goosebumps when you called me Nanna and now I can't type as I am tearful lol.ππI am so excited for them but it is only early days. You know what the cheeky thing said to her mother in law when I said I am busy knitting booties, she said "yep Mum can make booties, hats and toys lol," (she is right)so I aim to prove her wrong.lolππ
Thank you also Jennifer, grandmother to 8 and soon to be 10 grandchildren lol. I have 3 cat and 3 dog grandbabies oh and a turtle if that counts.lolπ€£π€£
Rochelle will need a lot of extra things,it will be overwhelming for her. Thank goodness Kmart is so cheap now for baby things. I am good at baby hats and toys if you ever need anything in a hurry.ππ
You are so kind Michelle. I have 3 grand dogs, three grandbirds, a grand rabbit and a grand bearded dragon. which of course we get to look after. Just some little newborn 3 or 4ply jackets would be very handy for a March babyand I can imagine the number of toys you will do.
Congratulations Nanna!!! Nichole will have a lot of us knitters willing her on her journey to be a mum. We await the 6 week check. There are lots of beautiful baby patterns for you to try so happy knitting.x
Ohh doesn't she look gorgeous Jennifer she suits those pretty colours. I agree she is growing up Jennifer, she is such a gorgeous wee girl.now did you hear about the big fire at Adel Grove caravan park, thank golly you had already left there.Oh I hope the caravans fixed.π€
Guess what guess what I am going to be a Nanna, woo hoo !!!!!πππit's only early days, Nicole's not due till March but they are really happy with everything and she will have her 6 week scan on the 24th. So after 3 1/2 years we are thinking positive thoughts now. I want to try and knit some cute wee baby things so fingers crossed. I hope your daughters keeping well.ππ
Oh fantastic news, I will keep my fingers crossed.Yes I was very pleased that we weren't at Adels Grove now. Rochelle is going well and wondering hoe she is going to cope with five children. She is looking for a larger car.
Pleased you got inspiration from my knits. That is what the sharing is all about. I have some nice gey with pink flowers on hold to knit when the day comes. I love this pattern and yarn together. Can you tell us what Darwin is like this time of year? We are off to Geraldton next week may go farther not sure x
This is our first trip to Darwin and we are in Burketown in Queensland and going to Hellsgate roadhouse tomorrow and then across the Savannah Way to Cape Crawford. We won't be in Darwin for another week or more. So I am not sure what it is like, I think it is fairly hot.
We are now at Darwin. It is a great place plenty to see and do . The weather is perfect Min 17 Max 32 but a nice sea breeeze near the water. We are sitting out tonight and it is just perfect.
I really love the wool it makes those pretty flowers.Well I went with Nicole today to the hospital and they did a procedure so in the next couple of weeks we should know if it has been successful so fingers crossed. Then we would be able to compare baby patterns.ππ I just looked up Burketown how pretty does that look, you are going to all the places I would love to go to you, you lucky thing.!Michael and I want to do that one day, I heard Darwin is lovely too, have fun.ππ
Thanks Michelle. I enjoyed knitting it and watching the pattern form. Christine H knitted a couple last year and I thought they were really nice. How is your daughter getting on? We leave here tomorrow and go up to Burketown on the Gulf of Carpentaria and then head across towards Darwin.
