I bet Aahana would have grown so much when you get to see her,she will be getting excited ow knowing you and Greg are on your way home and it's nearly Christmas too.
I have stopped knitting baby things for Nicole as I don't think she really likes them and her mother in law works in Kmart so you can imagine all the things they have already.

That is ashame I am sure your things would be far nicer than Kmarts. Wait and see what she has and then you can knit some appropriate colours and patterns.

Thank you very much. She is cute but she is the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead.

Ohh my golly Christine, I got goosebumps when you called me Nanna and now I can't type as I am tearful lol.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚I am so excited for them but it is only early days. You know what the cheeky thing said to her mother in law when I said I am busy knitting booties, she said "yep Mum can make booties, hats and toys lol," (she is right)so I aim to prove her wrong.lolπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Thank you also Jennifer, grandmother to 8 and soon to be 10 grandchildren lol. I have 3 cat and 3 dog grandbabies oh and a turtle if that counts.lol🀣🀣
Rochelle will need a lot of extra things,it will be overwhelming for her. Thank goodness Kmart is so cheap now for baby things. I am good at baby hats and toys if you ever need anything in a hurry.😊😊

You are so kind Michelle. I have 3 grand dogs, three grandbirds, a grand rabbit and a grand bearded dragon. which of course we get to look after. Just some little newborn 3 or 4ply jackets would be very handy for a March babyand I can imagine the number of toys you will do.

I used to do fairisle knitting and it often drove me insane, but these new patterned yarns are so clever - the result is brilliant.

This is our first trip to Darwin and we are in Burketown in Queensland and going to Hellsgate roadhouse tomorrow and then across the Savannah Way to Cape Crawford. We won't be in Darwin for another week or more. So I am not sure what it is like, I think it is fairly hot.

Thanks Michelle. I enjoyed knitting it and watching the pattern form. Christine H knitted a couple last year and I thought they were really nice. How is your daughter getting on? We leave here tomorrow and go up to Burketown on the Gulf of Carpentaria and then head across towards Darwin.
