    About

I like to knit and re-knit all of my patterns, to make sure they work and that the sizing is correct. It is also an opportunity to experiment with the styling of each design.

This version of my Cecily Sweater vest was worked in moss stitch in a soft cream, I had lots of odds and ends of other colours from another project so used them to create a multicoloured stripe. I decided to leave some of the loose ends and use them as a feature. I think it has created some drama successfully. I have seen this trend a lot this year across social media as well as on the catwalks and on the high street so wanted my own version. I knitted the extra small and worked 4 extra rows in the main body before the armhole shaping. It is a perfect fit for my mannequin, which is a UK size 8 (US 4).

I am looking forward to taking this to a Xmas market on 27th Nov, I have styled it with a silver sequin slip dress to add some sparkle and interest to my display.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 12.00mm (US 17) 33cm
    • Single Point 10.00mm (US 15) 33cm

    Measurements

    XS in

Notes: I added 4 rows to the length of the body, which brought the length from just below ribs to about an inch above the natural waist.

I also divided the front neck much higher and worked decreases every alternate row to give a higher v.
