    About

I made this little Christmas tree drawstring bag to hold Hallie’s Gruffalo finger puppets. I was inspired by other makers making Christmas storage containers to hold Christmas goodies πŸ₯° I couldn’t download pattern so I’ve added screen shot of pattern used. πŸŽ„πŸŽπŸ’•

Thanks Julie they are lovely to knit and finish off well I used some of LCR knowledge to make picot edge neat by picking up tiny yellow stitches (50) on back to picot end row (50stitches) it made the opening very tidy πŸ˜‚πŸ₯°

@Maria L: picot row had been cast off . I picked up with sewing needle matching cast off stitches to first row of tiny yellow stitches on back of work.😍 - slightly clearer if any fellow knitter wants to try this out πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Thanks Valerie I found the bag having a little circular base is more substantial than I thought it would be and lends itself to possibly display contents nicely on a side cupboard I’m with you thinking snake looked good like that πŸ˜‚ but they can be tucked away in the tree 🌲 πŸ₯°

This is perfect Maria. πŸ₯° I’ve been looking at other gift β€˜bags’ with a view to making them for the pre-school next year. This could be one of them. Hope you have a lovely Christmas. πŸŽ„πŸ₯°πŸ’•

Thanks Helen your recent makes gave me ideas πŸ’‘ too! 😍 you could leave off the Christmas baubles and put tiny leaves or cones or whatever, and lengthen the bag very easily in this case it’s 50 stitches wide to 24 rows height you a lovely quick knit too! Happy Christmas 🀢 Helen πŸŽ„πŸ€ΆπŸŽπŸ₯°
