    About

I wanted to create a beautiful baby blanket for my niece.

I used King Cole big value chunky yarn in dusty pink and a simple back loop half double crochet pattern to make a textured, soft and cosy blanket. I added rose patterned cotton fabric for lining, and completed the look with a simple border in a complementing colour.

I kept the crochet pattern simple so the finished piece is practical and interesting but not overwhelming. It was my first blanket that I added lining to, so the assembly took a lot of trial and error, but it was well worth it for the end result.
