I wanted to use up my super chunky Paintbox yarn left overs for something but I didn't know what and couldn't find a pattern I liked.
When we go camping we fill the flask before bed and wrap it in a scarf so it keeps hot till the morning for our 1st cuppa. So I decided to wing it and try knitting a flask cosy. Quite pleased with the result.
The flask is 14in in diameter, I thumb cast on 26 stitches if I were to do it again I'd probably add a few. I'd also add a few rows but I was at the end of my supply.
I cast on 26 stitches continued in rib stitch 2x2 until around 3in in length. Then seed stitch for around 23 rows, I ended wrong side. Changed to stocking stitch P3 P2TOG p1 (21), knit, P2 P2TOG p1 (16), knit, P1 P2TOG P1 (11) then fed tail through the stitches and mattress stitched to seam. Then fitted a cord to the top as a tie.
