The weather out here is starting to get that cold morning chill that I love so much about Fall. The other day, my coworker mentioned that he couldn't seem to find a single beanie in his home, even though he knew he had tons. I somewhat jokingly asked if he'd like me to make him one. He sort of shyly said yes and started to get excited. He said that if I made one, it had to be ridiculous. He said he wanted something that I would think he'd be embarrassed to wear. He's actually a very laid back, fun loving guy so I really couldn't imagine anything he wouldn't have the confidence to wear.
I settled on this pattern because I think the fringe is adorable.
The pattern only comes in child sizes so I had to play a bit with my stitch gauge to make it adult sized. I used a much bulkier yarn and was able to follow the directions for the "small" size and actually got a pretty decent sized hat.
My coworker loves it and the rest of our crew seems pretty amused as well.
