    After breaking off in the summer to knit baby items, and our Eurpean trip when I re-aquainted myself with this Aran sweater, it is now complete, and I am pleased with the finished product.
    The story:-
    For 18 months, my neighbour kept wittering at me to make him an Aran sweater, like his dad used to wear. I kept telling him I don’t do Aran!! Then his wife secretly asked if I would make one for him, from her for Christmas. Well, here’s a few pics showing the various stages. It’s taken 34 x 50g of Millamia super soft Merino Aran, doubled up, and has taken ages, but here it is. I do hope they both like it…... It’s a big change from my earlier projects which usually involve Paintbox acrylic aran for Rainbow products.

      Great sweater. Well done for persevering. I made a very similar one for a friend last year. He wanted one like his Mum used to make for him.
