    About

I only recently starting crocheting and got hooked on granny squares so looked for a way to use them. Came across this fabulous pattern and gave it a go. It was so relaxing making 48, six round, coloured squares and then 48 plain, join as you go, squares. I made it 127cm x 192cm so it fits across a double bed with overhang and comes half way up. I didn’t want to fold it in half on the bed but I enjoyed it so much I think I will make a full size one now!

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 4.50mm (US 7)

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle

    Measurements

    127cm x 192 cm

Notes: I made 48 coloured squares and 48 plain so that I had 4 coloured and 4 plain in 12 rows.
The blanket lies nicely on bottom of double bed as a comforter not covering the whole bed.

      Thank you Sarah,
I love duck egg blues and greys and this 5 pack from Paintbox had all my favourites in!

For me it is always about colour and this colour combination makes for a stunning blanket and as I say who does not like a granny square
