    About

    I made this for my first-born grandchild and finished it just after she was born. My son had a toy monkey when he was little, so I wanted to make one for his baby too. I followed the pattern for the Chimpanzee but made the Zebra's star dungarees and the Chimpanzee's trainers. Because I was making this for a baby, I knitted bobbles to replace all of the buttons and used felt for the eyes.

      What a fabulous Monkey Joanna. So much thought has gone into it. And I love his outfit. A great improvement on the original in my view, particularly for a baby. (Just watch the laces in his trainers!)

        Thank you Helen. Jasper isn't really showing any interest in him yet, probably because he's bigger than she is at the moment but I'm sure that he will be much loved as she gets older!

        @Joanna C: Agree completely! LC's animal clothes are fabulous and really add character to the animals, but I find them a tad too challenging, I need to keep practising. ☺️
