    About

Loved the king cole yarn so thought I’d see what it would look like as an owl.

    Pattern

    Louise Crowther

    This pattern is from:
    Knitted Animal Friends

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 3.50mm (US 4) 15cm
    • Circular 3.50mm (US 4) 80cm
    • Single Point 3.50mm (US 4) 25cm
    • Single Point 3.00mm (US 2.5) 25cm
    • Double Point 3.00mm (US 2.5) 15cm
    • Single Point 2.75mm (US 2) 25cm

    Accessories

    • Stitch Holder
    • Toggles
    • Stuffing
    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers
    • Buttons
Other : Not as in love with this as the other animals. I used the 2.75mm needles so he came out a little smaller than Tilly hare. Haven’t decided whether to make the shoes yet.

Hi Jacqueline, your owl is just beautiful, I love his clothes, they are beautifully knitted, the colours are gorgeous, perfect for such a regal bird. I got the book for my Christmas but haven’t been brave enough to start any knitting yet! I wait to see what animal you knit next ! 😊

I'm inspired by seeing these gorgeous knitted animals I think I'm going to have to get this book and a set of dpns. It's my birthday later this month, I'll have a word here ;)

Go for it Mary 🥳. I had my mother in law’s dpns to start then got some cheap circular needles from my local charity shop until I was confident to spend on new needles. Make sure the needle part isn’t too long for small numbers of stitches and the cord is very flexible 😊

Very kind of you Anita. You can easily knit these ‘flat’ and seam Anita. But dpns or circular needles are actually really easy with added advantage, no purl 👍
