    About

The unit request blankets measuring 60cm x 60cm to fit the baby cribs. I needed slightly more yarn to finish the border so I used Some snuggly double knitting to complete the border.

What a lovely blanket, the colours are so pretty,I love the look of the individual squares and the edging finishes the blanket off nicely. Your knitting is soo pretty too 💕

Beautiful colours and blanket. What a lovely thought new mums and dads seeing their babies wrapped up in hand made blankets, knowing they are made with love and caring.

Hello Michelle, thank you. I started at the top of the blanket and worked my way round using a smaller needle (3.25). I winged it a bit but I roughly picked up and knitted a stitch at every ridge and knitted 6 rows and cast off ready for the next side. I think the edging is worth the extra effort as it gives a more finished look to the blanket. Happy to share photographs with you the next time doing this.

@Lucy M: thank you I love your blankets, and the mitred finish is so pretty. I thought that was how you did the edging but hoped you didn't mind me asking. It is definitely worth the time it takes as it gives them such a lovely finish.

Thank you, Jacqueline. Pattercake gives a lovely mix of colours and finish to the blanket.
