I actually changed this pattern around quite a bit…I decided to frame the rib knit in the center in garter stitch instead of stockinette stitch in order to prevent the sides rolling up as the designer’s blanket did. I CO 102 stitches in order to make this blanket big enough for my husband. 8 stitches knit in garter stitch at the beginning and end of each row, then alternate in groups of 6 stitches to make the ribbing. I also added extra length by adding an extra skein of homespun and two extra skeins of “Campfire” in Quick & Thick. My 6’3.5 “ hubby is extremely happy he has a cuddly blanket that covers him up all the way. It’s also pretty heavy, so it’s an unintentional weighted blanket. It’s magic! He gets under that thing and he is out for the count in minutes! Hope this helps! Peace!
