    About

autumn is almost here, so time for bright bonfire/autumn leaves colours to brighten up the dark days of winter ahead... I'd almost given up hope of finding a yarn to match my bright fire-orange/red scarf when I came across this Solar colour Cascade Heritage Paints - it's just right (but the scarf is in summer storage until October so I can't photograph them together yet)

    • Crochet Hook 5.50mm (US 9)

    Measurements

Notes: Cascade heritage paints is a bit finer than the yarns I've previously used for this pattern, so I used 4 strands of yarn instead of 3 to get the right texture without changing the size or adjusting the pattern.
The tension indication in the pattern doesn't work with a "magic ring" start - for a hat to fit a 57cm head circumference, 12.5 sts & 8 rows to 10cm over trebles is the tension to aim for.
