baby cable wrist mittens

    About

    I used any plain old mitten pattern but then 'prettied' them up by making the wrist using baby cable ribbing.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 4.00mm (US 6) 20cm
    • Double Point 3.25mm (US 3) 20cm
    Other : -use 4mm for baby alpaca, use 3.25 for merino

    -darning needle

    Measurements

    Notes: Use plain mitten pattern but then ribbing:
    (over a multiple of 4 stitches)
    row 1: K2, P2 (repeat all around)
    row 2: K2, P2 (repeat all around)
    row 3: K2tog leaving st on LH needle, K first stitch again and then slip both stitches from needle, P2 (repeat all around)
    row 4: K2, P2 (repeat all around)

    repeat these four rows until desired length
