    About

I scaled down my favourite hat pattern by using finer yarn & a smaller hook to make this dainty baby-sized sunhat as a gift for Louise who starts her maternity leave tonight. The flower is removable, so if the radiographer was wrong and baby turns out to be a boy after all the brim can be turned up to make a more boyish sailor hat

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 3.00mm (US 2.5)

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
Other : couldn't resist these flower hairgrips from Accessorise, they make the perfect finishing touch for a baby girl's hat

    Measurements

Notes: Using just one strand of thread and a 3mm hook, the finished hat has a head circumference of 34cm, length 15 cm (12 cm with the brim turned up)
