    About

    Jacinta Bowie’s modern take on traditional Aran cable knits. Published in Knitting issue 174 November 2017. Took a little while to master the intricate cables. Love the mini cabled rib, so did recipient. Should keep her warm on long night shifts in midwifery.

    Other : Cocktail pins in picture were removed! Only to block. Fair bit of unpicking to get pattern correct. Pleased with end result. Lovely pattern. Modern twist on Aran. I’ve nearly finished a jumper for a friends birthday.....

    Notes: I didn’t use the recommended wool so adjustment needed for tension. Recommended wool, Rico soft merino knits up smaller, its 100% wool. This is not practical on wards.
