    About

George is twelve weeks old on Thursday, time has flown. He's a big lad already. I made this cardigan for autumn, one of my favourite patterns. Improved a bit on last time, for example, I used larger needles for the edging. What I have learnt this time is to stay with better quality yarns, as I used an economy yarn for this. It didn't knit up garter with such a smooth finish. I am still working on improving my tension. I'm knitting a Buzybee Henry now, using lovely merino wool again :)!

I’ve also learned that this cardigan looks better in better quality/ more expensive yarns. Looks good. I used Debbie Bliss Cashmerino and have tried Sirdar snuggly Crofter.

Yes, I made it in new born size using DB Cashmerino, definitely a better finish. Also, moves on the needles better, if that makes sense? I also like Sirdar snuggly crofter, one of the blankets I made was in that yarn, looks a good finish and very soft too.

:))))) I keep calling it mustard, my daughter reminds me "ochre"! Yes I'm learning about yarns too, and also love merino, you get what you pay for hey! x

Mustard and ochre are the same in my book Mary! Definitely worth investing in merino for a beautiful garment :-)

@Pat E: I love it that colours take on different names when popular ..... I can remember when grey was just grey too :))))))!
        Yes to merino definitely! x

It's a gorgeous colour Mary. Mustard is very trendy at the moment :-) It's merino all the way for me!
