In October last year I joined a local community project to crochet granny squares. The squares needed to be 6 rows in size and the outer row had to be green. The plan was to make enough squares that would initially cover a 6 metre high cone “Christmas tree” in order to raise funds for South Leicestershire Home Start. Now the tree has been dismantled the squares are to be repurposed into blankets for those in need. It was a fantastic project to be involved with and I met some lovely people in the process who were also lovers of crafting.
For many years now, I have made Christmas Baubles - knitted and crocheted - to give as little gifts for family, friends & neighbours. It’s become a tradition, I enjoy making them and they are always appreciated.

Crafting brings people together, and they stay in touch.
I love you baubles💖
I’ve had mine a few years now , and I think they need refreshing.
Another Christmas project joins the list🤣
I’d craft Christmas things all year, if I didn’t get interrupted with requests for jumpers, cardis, toys, blankets, cushions………..
