    About

In October last year I joined a local community project to crochet granny squares. The squares needed to be 6 rows in size and the outer row had to be green. The plan was to make enough squares that would initially cover a 6 metre high cone “Christmas tree” in order to raise funds for South Leicestershire Home Start. Now the tree has been dismantled the squares are to be repurposed into blankets for those in need. It was a fantastic project to be involved with and I met some lovely people in the process who were also lovers of crafting.
For many years now, I have made Christmas Baubles - knitted and crocheted - to give as little gifts for family, friends & neighbours. It’s become a tradition, I enjoy making them and they are always appreciated.

What a wonderful idea and it certainly made a spectacular tree, with a very useful way to make the squares into blankets. Your baubles are also a lovely idea.

      Fabulous 💕
Crafting brings people together, and they stay in touch.
      I love you baubles💖
I’ve had mine a few years now , and I think they need refreshing.
Another Christmas project joins the list🤣
I’d craft Christmas things all year, if I didn’t get interrupted with requests for jumpers, cardis, toys, blankets, cushions………..

A girl after my own heart. 😊 I’ve found crafting particularly therapeutic, especially during the last couple of years. Always on the look out for small project ideas I can use for Christmas decorations.
