    About

I think the designer came up with a fantastic idea. You knit a clock face in the round, stretch it around an old 12" vinyl LP, attach a clock mechanism, and hang it on your wall.
It's an intricate, but fairly quick project, and a good way to use up extra sock yarn.
It seemed like too much trouble to figure out my gauge while doing colour work in the round, so I decided not to bother. The clock face ended up too small. I added about an inch of gray around the perimeter to make it fit over the LP. But I think it looks fine and am happy with the outcome.
If I make another one, I should try going up a needle size. Also, because the fabric is stretched tightly around the clock, laddering is evident where I change needles, so I need to snug up the needles and pull the yarn tighter.
My husband was quite intrigued with this project, and helped out by painting the clock hands gold and attaching the clock mechanism.
