Always wanted to create my own dyed wool!!
Really enjoyed my first attempt
Wool has been soaked, mordant and dyed with cochineal bugs, lac , madder and goldenrod
Wow! I've always wanted to have a go and I've partially processed a fleece..... just got to master the spinning before that! Is it difficult and can you recommend any good resources for natural dyeing techniques?
Thank you☺️
Natural dye colours from Shetland by Bunche Teresa Casey , is a good start also gives you list of suppliers
Wow on processing a fleece, I’m working backwards towards this🙌🏻
@Sue H: Thank you, Sue, I'll have a look. I just happened to be given a fleece, so that's why it worked out that way! Dont know whether I'd do it again though, so labour intensive! No wonder wools are so expensive! :)

I hear you on wool being expensive!
But you must feel happy you’ve achieved your own wool🙌🏻
Look forward to seeing your end journey with it😊
