    About

Earlier this year I knitted an aran sweater for my son which he loved. My daughter in law dropped hints that perhaps she should have one too so I decided to knit her one for her birthday at the end of October. When choosing a pattern it was a no brainer as I’ve had this on my to do list for ages. I needed to get it in the mail to USA allowing about 2-3 weeks for delivery so worked hard to get it finished within my time frame. Managed it with plenty of time to spare. A really straightforward knit, great pattern, well written and easy to follow. Written and charted instructions for the cables, the chart being really easy to follow as it is colour coded. Love this sweater and will definitely make one for myself at some later date. Loved my yarn choice, beautifully soft and a pleasure to knit, love the result.

    Pattern

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 4.00mm (US 6) 80cm
    • Single Point 4.50mm (US 7) 35cm
    • Single Point 4.00mm (US 6) 35cm

    Accessories

    • Cable Needle
    • Stitch Holder
    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers

    Measurements

    M

Notes: The pattern called for needles 3.5mm and 4mm but needed to go up to 4mm and 4.5mm to obtain gauge with the yarn I used but otherwise knit exactly to the pattern just shortening sleeves slightly for fit. Finished fit just as expected.
