Beautiful Sue and the colours look so good together. I haven't got this pattern and I'm a bit tempted now as she is very cute. I've just dropped everything again to make another 8" little bear with shoes and socks. I couldn't wait until the knitted flat version was released so as it was only for the shoes and socks I bought the "in the round" version and just altered my existing pattern. π
Thank you, Christine π Yes, I bought the shoe and sock pattern too. I really want to master in the round method, so I got the bear method 1 pattern as well. I found some Esther Joy patterns that would be great quick knits for school and most of them are in the round. I won't even consider dpns but I've been comparing tutorials on using two circulars or a magic loop. It's the small number of stitches that makes it tricky. It will probably all end in total frustration! π€£
@Sue C: I really hope you manage it Sue there are so many designers that only make in the round patterns and most of them are patterns that I want to make. I have tried many times all of the methods and shed tears of frustration. But I knit the old fashioned way, when I learnt there only seemed to be one method of doing it from what I remember. I never learnt to use DPN's as my mum wouldn't have them in the house after my elder brother knelt on one that was sticking out between two chair cushions. He did survive he's 78 now! π€£
@Christine R: I'm not surprised your mum banned them! Good to hear there was no lasting damage for your brother. I have made a few things in the round, lots of remembrance poppies, but it was a challenge juggling all those needles. I already have one circular, so I'm going to order another. I'm not as good at seams as you are and they do seem to show up more on the little items I make for school. I fear it will all end in tears π’ but I'll give it a go. π€£ Looking forward very much to seeing your tearoom teddy bear in shoes and socks π.
Thank you so much, Jacquie π All the tearoom patterns are very clear and the measurements for each piece so precise! Definitely worth giving it a go π
Oh Sue you make the cutest of toys π this cat is just adorable and is so beautifully dressed. I love her dress, along with her socks and shoes. π
