    Found this super cute pattern and thought it helpful to make use of leftover Kureyon from scarves. Turns out to be perfect! First it's really fun and easy to knit, second it uses less than a ball of Kureyon so good for being efficient with leftovers, and third, the hats are super cute and comfortable.

    Measurements

    Notes: I have a small head - the one made with 344/368 scraps is made entirely with 5mm needles - 72 stitch cast-on. Perfect. The other is for my sister with a slightly larger (medium-sized) head - used 5-1/2 mm needles and 72 stitch cast-on. For mine knitted 6" total before decreasing (if I do it again will only do 1" rib instead of 2" - will look nicer), for the other knit 6 rows of st-st with 5mm first to make curled rim, then another 6" of body (with 5-1/2mm needles), then start decrease. Each hat used ~45g wool - less than 1 skein. Mine is really scraps cobbled together, for the other I had enough of #393 to make the whole thing.

        In Ravelry, it's called 'Noro spiral one-skein hat'. Very easy, very fun, looks really nice with the Noro Kureyon type of variegation. Have fun Margaret L!
