Product Details
This is a great way to use that funky handspun yarn you picked up somewhere! -The main colour could really be any sort of plain, thick aran weight or chunky yarn.
MC yarn amount: 604 (686, 790, 864, 977, 1051) m / 661 (750, 864, 945, 1069, 1150) yd of aran/chunky weight yarn. You need 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6) skeins of Malabrigo Worsted for the main colour, and about 72 m/ 78 yds of any "art yarn" style super bulky for the contrast colour yarn at yoke.
This sweater is knit in pieces first, flat. Then you join the pieces and knit in rounds of rib for the yoke. If you had lots of art yarn you could knit the yoke further, into a cowl.
Tension gauge: 16 sts and 22 rows = 10 cm /4" 0ver St st with MC and 5.5mm needles...12 sts and 18 rows = 10 cm / 4" over 1 x 1 rib with CC yarn and 6.5mm needles
