B-loved is a cable and lace stitch baby blanket with a moss stitch border. It is knitted in one piece from bottom to top in a dk weight yarn on 4mm needles. It is a lovely size for a pram or perfect to use for cuddles. The blanket pattern was inspired by a very special little boy, Bear Watts; who was diagnosed with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome whilst in utero. All proceeds made from the sale of this pattern will be pledged to the Little Hearts Matter charity.
Suggested yarn and gauge Drops Cotton Merino DK yarn - ball band gauge is 21sts & 28 rows on 4mm needles. Blocked 10cm² stocking stitch swatch on 4mm needles = 22sts x 32 rows
Techniques used cable cast on, knit, purl, moss (single seed) st, single decreases, yarn overs, working from charts, cables, cables incorporating decreases, Elizabeth Zimmerman sewn cast off.
