Product Details
Recently I discovered a new heel variation and made myself a pair using a simple knit-purl-pattern. Maybe you want some for yourself, so I wrote down my notes. This is not a real “pattern” but rather notes how to implement the “broken rib” pattern and how to work the heel. You will also find a size chart.
I learned about this heel variation in a German video where it is called “Streifenferse” (“stripe heel”), but at Ravelry I also found a similar heel variation called “hybrid heel”. It is a variation to the short-row-heel where you work wedges using short rows. The big difference is doubling the stitch where you turn, resulting in more stitches to work at the heel diagonal and a better fit. This heel will fit a foot where the short-row-heel is too tight.
The pattern contains one file with the English and German version. Please respect our environment and print only those pages you need.
