Chromatic Convergence was designed with long colorways in mind. It’s created in two pieces which are worked from the outer points to the center and then worked in the round to join the two halves. By using Chroma and taking a little care to match color progressions on each side, a stunning diamond is created in the center of the shawl!
The fabric for the shawl is a reversible wide-rib which comes to an X in the center of the back. While the knitting is interesting, the pattern avoids becoming too complicated by switching right and wrong sides every 9 rows (so all directional increases are worked in knit).
Because the fabric is reversible–the wearer has complete freedom to drape and fold as they please. Chromatic Convergence comes in a wide range of sizes. From a skinny scarf to big snuggly shawl (pictured), you can find the size you need.
Finally, a free bonus pattern is included for coordinating fingerless mitts. These mitts use approximately 135 yards. If making si
