An individual pattern from The Shetland Trader-Book One, a collection of 10 patterns inspired by the Shetland Islands from designer Gudrun Johnston with photography by Jared Flood.
Filska is high spirited or fun in Shetland. Fun to knit and definitely fun to wear, this skirt begins with a scalloped lace hem worked as a long vertical strip. Yarn over loops are then picked up from one edge and the body of the skirt continues in a flattering slipped stitch pattern. Designed for versatility, you can dress it up or down to suit any occasion.
