What you will need: 2 knitting needles (US3/3.25mm or as per tension advice) , 2 knitting needles (US8/5mm or as per tension advice), 5g black yarn for centre (e.g. Stylecraft Special DK 1002 ‘Black’), 5g novelty yarn for ring (e.g. Sirdar Firefly Metallic ladder yarn), Two black plastic toy safety eyes - 9mm, Polyfil toy stuffing,1 tapestry needle for finishing
Skills used: Casting on and off, Increasing and Decreasing
Stitches used: Stocking stitch, garter stitch
The suggested yarn for the ring has been discontinued, but you can still get balls of Firefly on Ebay, etc. However, mohair and other novelty yarns would be great substitutes.
