Product Details
With its plump cables and large colourwork yoke, Rumi combines two of my favourites graphic elements of knitwear. Easy to memorise cables drives you to the colourwork piece with wide leafy motifs and geometric bands. Knitted from the bottom up with a simple construction, it's an oversized fit with low armholes, short rows on the back and shoulders and fitted sleeves.
Pick a size with 15 to 25 cm – 6 to 10" positive ease. The sleeves are fitted so when choosing also take note of the arm measurement. Shown in size 3 on a 88 cm / 34 ½" bust.
Techniques used : Bottom up in the round yoke shaping / 2 necklines : high ribbed neck or lower I-cord bind-off / German short rows / Stranded knitting with two colours and rare floats to catch / Simple cables and twists / Grafting armholes with kitchener stitch / Pattern includes both written instructions and charts
Sample was knit with Retrosaria Brusca in 5C (MC) and 13C (CC).
