Saoirse baby and toddler short-sleeved cardigan

This little short-sleeved cardigan is made all in one piece from the neck to the lower hem.  You won’t have to sew anything, except to add the buttons!  The top part features lines of cables, while the lower part is made up in stocking-stitch with garter-stitch hem and edging.  Instead of adjusting for size, I opted for changing the needle sizes.  Also, I made the smaller size with a fuller “skirt” section, giving more room for busy little legs, and the larger size has a more stream-lined look.  This cardigan is quick to make, so your tiny girl can have several in her wardrobe!  Saoirse, pronounced Seer-sha, is an Irish name, the meaning of which is “Freedom.”
