Product Details
This lace triangle shawl "Shetland Summer" ist a play with elements of the Shetland Lace Knitting tradition.
In order to create the airy structure of this shawl, I used a lace yarn with a large knitting needle size of 4,5 mm.
“Shetland Summer” is made in two steps. You knit the outer border first, cast on stitches on the right long side and knit the triangle section by steady decrease of the stitch numbers.
Skill level: experienced knitters
Yarn used: 125 grams Jamieson´s of Shetland Ultra (195 m/ 25 g) - 5 balls
You can choose any lace yarn you like with a running length of around 200 metres per 25 g.
Needle Size: 4,5 mm/ US 7/ UK 7
