Product Details

End of winter - a perfect time of the year for fingerless mitts – when the temperatures rise above the freezing point, the sun begins to shine, the wind is no longer freezing cold. It is still cold enough to cover your hands and yet not as cold that you wouldn’t let your fingers free!

The mitts are fun to knit and even slightly addictive. They made a few testers stay up much later than they had planned ;)

Size: one size, fits an average woman’s hand. The mitts measure approx. 6.5’’ / 16.5cm unstretched around the palm just above the thumb, to fit a hand 7 – 8’’ / 18 – 20cm around at this point. Size can be adjusted by going up or down a needle size, or by changing the yarn weight and adjusting the needles accordingly.

Level: Adventurous beginner or intermediate. The mitts are knit in the round. The pattern uses long-tail cast on, cabling, very basic lace.

Needle size: US 2 ½ / 3mm DPNs or circulars if you prefer the magic loop method.
