Written pattern.
Materials required: size 21 (0.80 mm) knitting needles, 28 yards/25 metres of 1-ply wool in main colour, 1 yard/metre 1-ply wool in red or dark pink for tongue, small amount of stuffing (polyester filling, kapok or cotton wool - DO NOT use cotton wool if you intend to wash the poodle!), small amount of black wool for embroidering nose and eyes, scrap of ribbon for bow (optional).
These toilet roll covers were popular in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
Finished size - approx. ¾-inch/2 cm tall by ½-inch/1.5 cm wide.
Gauge – Gauge is not important for this project as you can make it stretch to fit a miniature toilet roll.
