Product Details

Inspired by 1940s knitting and designed for a very fine lace-weight yarn, a much more popular type of yarn for hand-knitting in the '40s than it is today. There is a keyhole loop and one end of the scarf can be threaded through the other. Instructions are included for how to make the keyhole loop. The scarf is knit in double-moss stitch.

The samples are knit in Z Hinchcliffe & Sons Lambswool in white and Todd & Duncan Geelong Lambswool in Titian Blue, both available on a cone. Good alternatives may be other lace-weight or 2-ply yarns such as West Yorkshire Spinners' Exquisite, Malabrigo Lace or Rowan's Fine Lace yarns.
